“Relationships”

Relationships, we are all in some type of relationship(s). It could be a marital relationship, husband and wife. It could be a parent to child relationship. As a single person, if you don’t have any children, there are still relationships that you are involved in. It could be the interaction that you have with your co-workers or school mates.  It may be the interaction and relationships that are formed with your neighbors. At LFBC, we are joined together by Christ, we have relationships with each other and with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Our heavenly Father gives us wisdom as it pertains to our relationships. He tells husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loved the church. He tells the wife to respect her husband. God tells parents to instruct their children, and for children to obey their parents. To paraphrase Ephesians 6:5-9, God tells employees to obey their employers, and He tells the employer to treat the employee fairly. Let us seek to govern our interactions in our various relationships in a godly way. Basically, let’s follow the commandments that we receive from the Word of God, and remember the words of Jesus who said: “To love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself.” If we do these things, our relationships will be much better and of course they will be pleasing to our Lord.
