In reading Genesis chapters 1 through 6, I am reminded that it’s a tremendous blessing to “walk” with God. In Gen. 5, Enoch walked with God and he got an express ride to Heaven without even dying! In Gen. 6, because of the sinfulness and wickedness of man, God was going to destroy the entire earth; but Noah, who walked with God, found favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord (Gen. 6:8). So, since Noah “walked” with God and found favor and grace with our God, our Heavenly Father used Noah to build an Ark and preserve humankind. If you are walking with God, continue to do so; if you are not, then turn from sin, repent, confess, and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and begin to enjoy this great “walk” with God. This “walk” has benefits now and through eternity. Saints, let us all “walk” with God in 2017.
